Meet Dr. Ken Kirkland (Plano, TX)

Ken Kirkland, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry in 1985 from Southern College of Optometry and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Georgia Southern University in 1981. Dr. Kirkland was a Therapeutic Optometrist with a special interest in contact lenses.

As a young man, Dr. Kirkland developed an interest in optometry through numerous conversations with a neighbor who was an optometrist. Those interactions helped him realize that optometry was the ideal profession to serve and give back to his community.

Throughout his career, Dr. Kirkland valued the one-on-one conversations he shared with each patient. He especially enjoyed building meaningful relationships while providing personalized, high-quality eye care and service. His dedication to patient care and commitment to the community left a lasting impact on those he served.
